We are still working here. Please be patient with our progress as our main priority is caring for the birds. Hatching season is a very busy time of year and I am very limited on help. Thank you for understanding.

New for 2025!

Fibro Eggers

Our fibro olive and blue egger project flock is thoughtfully bred to combine beauty, hardiness, and exceptional egg-laying traits. This unique flock features an Ayam Cemani rooster with olive and blue egg-laying hens, resulting in some of the most distinctive and vibrant egg layers you'll find. The offspring inherit the hardiness and striking appearance of the Ayam Cemani lineage while maintaining a docile temperament, making them a perfect addition to any backyard or homestead. These birds produce stunning, colorful eggs and are as delightful to raise as they are reliable in their laying performance.

While these birds may not always lay a colored egg, they do carry the blue or olive egg gene, which makes them genetically capable of producing blue or olive-colored eggs under the right conditions. Egg color is influenced by various factors, including genetics, breed lineage, and individual variation. It's important to note that even though the blue or olive egg gene is present, there is no absolute guarantee that the eggs will exhibit the desired hue. However, breeding these birds with carriers of other complementary egg-color genes can increase the likelihood of blue or olive-colored eggs, offering an exciting possibility for backyard chicken enthusiasts seeking unique and beautiful egg colors.

The Perfect Backyard Addition: Our Fibrocana Chickens

Our Fibrocana chickens are a unique and exceptional breed, created by pairing blue and BBS Ameraucana hens with our stunning Ayam Cemani rooster. This thoughtful combination results in a hardy and docile bird that’s as delightful to care for as it is beautiful. These chickens are specifically bred to thrive in various conditions, making them an ideal choice for backyard flocks. Their calm temperament ensures they integrate well with other birds, while their resilience means they can adapt to changing environments with ease. Whether you’re a seasoned poultry keeper or new to raising chickens, Fibrocanas are a wonderful addition that will bring a unique charm and practicality to your flock.

Understanding the Blue Egg Gene in Fibrocana Hens

While it’s important to know that not all of our F1 fibrocana hens will be guaranteed to lay blue eggs, but having the genetics of the true blue-laying Ameraucana hens, they will carry the blue egg gene. This means that while these hens may not consistently produce blue eggs themselves, they still pass on the genetic potential for blue eggs to their offspring. The unique genetics of Ameraucana hens are what make them sought after by poultry enthusiasts, as they are one of the few breeds that can lay these stunningly colored eggs. If maintaining a line of blue egg-laying hens is your goal, it's essential to carefully select breeding stock that carries and expresses this desirable trait.

Our Journey with the Fibro Project

As this is our first year working with the Fibro Project, we currently only have photos of chicks and grow-outs available. While we strive to document the growth process through photos, managing a large number of birds alongside the busyness of daily life can make it challenging to stay on top of everything. We kindly ask for your patience as we continue to update and expand our photo collection. Your understanding means a lot to us as we work to share this journey with you.
